Product story

A Clear Visual Direction for a Coordinated Collection

The botanical collectible card uses an oval center to separate the illustration from a densely patterned green surround. Leaf-like forms and repeated decorative shapes give the outer area its identity, while the center remains comparatively quiet. This is a framed composition rather than a full-card scene, making the relationship between the oval crop and surrounding pattern the main design decision.

For custom artwork, keep the botanical border and central image on separate layers. The subject must sit comfortably inside the oval without losing important details at the top or sides. Repeated leaf shapes also need enough contrast to remain distinct at the finished size; a pattern that reads clearly on screen can become crowded when reduced.

If selected border details are to receive foil, prepare a separate mask rather than treating the entire green background as one finish area. Fine repeated lines and small gaps should be discussed before plate preparation. A quieter laminated surface or selective UV contrast can also be considered, but the choice should protect the soft central artwork instead of adding competing highlights.

Send the oval illustration, border artwork, intended finished size and quantities. Identify which decorative elements are printed only and which may receive an additional effect. Include the reverse layout and explain whether the card belongs to a nature-themed collection, gift range or individual display presentation.
